7 Reasons Why The Rock Is The Best Talker Ever

When The Rock returned on Raw this past Monday he showed once again why is the best talker in the history of World Wrestling Entertainment. There are definitely others that could hold that title like Ric Flair, Roddy Piper, Steve Austin and Chris Jericho, but none of them can really do some of the things that The Rock can. The Rock really is the master of the stick, the king of the promos or whatever other phrase you might want to use. It was great seeing The Rock in that ring interacting with Rusev and Lana because we had never seen him work with them before. He did a great job of pointing out that people didn't hate them because they were Russian. He hated them because they were being a-holes about it. It was a smart way of saying that you don't have to hate somebody because they are from a different country. However, if they are arrogant about it or if they criticize America like they have then they deserve to have somebody confront them like The Rock did. In today's WWE, they are lacking in the area of truly elite talkers. Paul Heyman is one of the best ever, but with Brock Lesnar as a part timer we don't get to hear him as often. John Cena has his moments, but also comes off like he's stuck in the 1980s. Dean Ambrose is emerging as one of the best talkers. CM Punk is one of the best ever, but he went home nine months ago. There are others that have potential although it's going to be tough to come close to what The Rock has done. The Rock made his return on Raw and proved once again that he's the kind of special talent that WWE wishes they could use on a full time basis. They take what they can get from him, which is smart because even a little bit of The Rock is better than nothing at all. Following his triumphant, albeit brief, return to WWE on Monday, here are seven reasons why The Rock is the best talker ever.
