5. His Gimmick Is Outdated

Nobody could dispute the fact that when the Undertaker makes one of his rare appearances, the wrestling world is treated to a true spectacle. Every facet of his gimmick (the darkness, the music, the mind games) combines to make for an awe-inspiring experience, especially to those witnessing it live. However, for how much longer can we regard the character of the Undertaker as special? It could be argued that the only thing propping up the Deadman's mystique is the scarcity of his appearances; were he to show up every week on Raw in the so-called 'reality era', we'd consider him an overblown fad of the past. It's time for wrestling fans to wake up to the fact that the longer 'Taker continues to show up, the less compelling he becomes. Were he to retire from in-ring competition, however, every subsequent one-off appearance would become a very big deal indeed.
