7 Reasons Why Brock Lesnar Is The New Undertaker

7. Simple: You Beat The Undertaker You Take His Powers

In the superhero myth-driven world of pro wrestling, there's a belief that's easy to assume that when you beat a man, you take his superpower. This is a concept that has history dating back to the Ultimate Warrior defeating Hulk Hogan and could quite possibly include Kane debuting by Tombstone Piledriving the aforementioned Undertaker. However it's also true that when the big money was on the table, Brock Lesnar did something that Kane never did. When Brock Lesnar pinned The Undertaker, it wasn't a supernatural moment, and all of the supernatural powers that The Undertaker had - for the purposes of the WWE Universe's storytelling - became very real concepts. Similar to The Undertaker, Brock marshals power, strength and fortitude from a dark place and uses it with destructive force. That place isn't hell, it's Brock's own body now, which entirely shifts the storytelling paradigm.
