7 Reasons Why WWE Breaking Up The Shield Was Horrible For Business

2. The Shield Are The Only Trio Who Could Ever Bring Down The Authority

For as much as USA Network may enjoy the idea of a heel group being on top of Raw, we've had "evil GMs" running the show for the better part of two decades. However, Triple H and Stephanie are 1/10th as easily hateable and easy to consistently draw heat upon than Vince McMahon. Thus, this GM situation could be a worse deal than Mike Adamle's laughable run. The one moment that the WWE Universe would've loved to have seen (but never really did) was seeing Triple H in a suit taking a Superman punch and a triple powerbomb through a table. Arguably, it's then and ONLY then that he could've really started to draw some actual heat from WWE fans and create the kind of drama from being in his role that could've led to a ratings surge.
