7 Reasons WWE Fastlane 2017 Absolutely Sucked

4. No Undertaker Appearance

Since everyone seems to be in agreement that Roman Reigns vs. The Undertaker is definitely on the books for the big event in Orlando, tonight would have been the ideal time to start building that match.

It's going to take more than just a brief confrontation in the Royal Rumble to get fans excited to see Reigns face The Deadman, especially considering their stance toward WWE's chosen one. I'd like to see a compelling story to build the angle rather than just the standard "I'm here to take over your yard" stuff that takes no effort.

Not to mention, having Taker make an appearance could have contributed to the end of the match, keeping WWE from booking Roman to go over Braun Strowman cleanly, providing the added benefit of preserving the monster push they've patiently put together for the giant.

If the constant reactions to Roman Reigns are any indication, it's going to take some work to sell him to fans as a man they want to see slotted in as one of The Undertaker's few - possibly last? - remaining WrestleMania opponents.

That work should have began tonight.
