Over the last couple of years, more and more murmurs have been rumbling out of World Wrestling Entertainment that talent on the main roster is unhappy with the state of affairs when it comes to NXT.

Some feel that those down in the 'developmental' brand are given so much more freedom when it comes to performing that they are overshadowing the work of wrestlers on RAW and SmackDown. They are unquestionably right.

The humbling of NXT has worked the other way as well, in the treatment of a number of top NXT stars when they make their way to the main roster. The most obvious of these has been Tyler Breeze, who went from being a top tier player on NXT to jobber of all jobbers on the main roster.

This has led to a number of NXT starts being a little reluctant to move to the main roster, in fear of being treated in much the same way. Rather than risk a mutiny between the two, WWE may as well take the upstart brand into the yard and be done with it. It wouldn't be the first time Vince McMahon has shot himself in the foot.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
