To begin with, Bray Wyatt was synonymous with Wyatt Family. The menacing Erick Rowan and Luke Harper were close behind him during his promos, his entrances, at ringside they carried out his orders, beat his opponents down, cheated to interfere in his matches, just as heel henchmen should do. All the while, the pair grew more and more accomplished as in-ring performers, the talented Harper (whod formerly made his mark under the name Brodie Lee on the independent circuit) seeming to take the less experienced Rowan under his wing. Harper and Rowan would go on to deliver increasingly impressive showings as a tag team against many opponents over the next few months, both in one-off matches and in feuds against the likes of the Rhodes brothers, all the while supporting Bray in his own feuds against Daniel Bryan and John Cena. Recently however, the WWE has begun sending Rowan and Harper out to matches without Bray, even experimenting with giving them their own similar but distinguishable music. Theyve wrestled the Usos a million times this year as a part of various feuds and angles, but recently its been for the tag team championships. Its understandable to want to maximise the potential of the three, and theres no denying that the increased television time and exposure has been to Harper and Rowans considerable benefit. But its detracting from the Bray Wyatt characters own image, and diluting the impact of the Wyatt Family as a whole, to have the demagogues frightening followers doing their own thing and going for championship gold something Wyatt himself is uninterested in.
