For one thing, he is currently the de facto leader of a no-respect stable, flanked by a pair of dogsbodies who would, it seems, gladly throw themselves in front of a bus to help their man get his hands on title gold.

Throw in an incredible back-catalogue of matches from his time climbing up the independent ranks, and Cole has a profile that is similar to that of the 'Heartbreak Kid' when he was beginning to make his push for the WWE main event in the early-to-mid 1990s.

Of course, the same was once said of John Morrison and Dolph Ziggler too.
