7 Signs WWE Is Planning A Women's Tag Division
3. Alexa Bliss And Mickie James Are BFFs
Alexa Bliss has done it all when it comes to women’s titles on the main roster. On Raw, she holds claim on the longest championship run, and held the belt on four separate occasions. On SmackDown, she is the youngest ever women’s champ and has held the belt twice. It makes sense that Bliss would be a first thought for any new titles that make their way into her division.
Whether because of that, or because she’s just a cowardly heel and creative can’t think of any other ways to express it, Alexa Bliss is rarely seen without a partner at her side. When their feud started, BFF Nia Jax was quickly replaced by Mickie James at Bliss’ side. There always seems to be someone in her corner. Over the last few months, her consistent partnership with James makes the country singing veteran Bliss’ likely partner whenever these new belts are announced.
On a side note with these two ladies, why are they treating a veteran like James like a lackey for the talented, but far less experienced, Bliss. It’s an odd power dynamic, but one that would only serve to fuel stories in a potential tag team division.
