7 Signs WWE Is Planning A Women's Tag Division
2. The Bella Twins Are Total Wrestlers
Bella Twins, Nikki and Brie, are taking a break from being reality show stars to step back into the ring in more than a one-off capacity. While the primary goal of their return is obviously to give them a chance to hype their show, The Bellas are also going to be wrestling. Brie is scheduled for Hell in a Cell, both women are tagging on Raw, and a match pairing both of them up with Ronda Rousey has been announced for Evolution.
That’s a whole lot of wrestling, and multiple booking implies that this is more than a one-off return. The Bellas are often credited with being at the forefront of the women’s (r)evolution, but their individual accolades and achievements in the ring happened before the wrestling world was formally introduced to WWE’s revamped approach to women’s wrestling. A tag division, and a reign as champions, might be the perfect spotlight for the pair.
Like The IIconics, The Bellas have always been presented as a team and it would make a lot of sense to give them a send-off that included a tag team title reign.
