7 Stupidest Reasons WWE Refused To Push Superstars
4. Being Outspoken (Dolph Ziggler)
Technically, Dolph Ziggler is a comedian. This is true by virtue of the fact he literally stands on stage and recites jokes, even if the audience sits in stony silence throughout (oh, hello pot!).
Apparently, they aren't the only ones who don't find The Show-Off's material particularly funny. According, once more, to Arn Anderson, the Horsemen Enforcer (Enhorser?) apparently venting years of constipated steam on his post-WWE podcast, Dolph's lack of a sustained push can be credited to his outspoken nature behind the scenes.
"I think, you know, Dolph’s got a set. And he doesn’t mind saying what he thinks," revealed Arn, going on to explain how, although Ziggler's comments are usually valid, they have no place in WWE's culture of complaisance. "Even though he’s right most of the time, that’s the wrong thing to do once you walk up in gorilla."
Per AA, that just won't do in WWE: "the reality is that the company wants blind devotion." The irony of the promotion muzzling their so-called 'Show-Off' is not lost.
