7 Things Roman Reigns Must Do To Win Over Fans
Believe that change is possible.
Roman Reigns was supposed to be the next top star of WWE. Had things worked out, he'd be the face of the company right now. That plan has been heavily worked on for the past few years with little success coming out of it, but they still keep on trying.
CM Punk revealed that while he was battling The Shield in house show matches, he was always told to make Roman Reigns look like a star. Despite Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins having more talent than their stablemate, it was the son of Sika who Vince McMahon had his eye on and protected at all costs. But he’s one of the few people who still seems to think that the company should lay its foundations upon The Roman Empire.
If fans can put away their hate for a moment, they can hopefully admit that Roman really isn’t terrible. He’s better in the ring than many give him credit for (compare his main event work to former top stars like Goldberg, Ultimate Warrior and Sid Vicious if you still disagree) and he’s usually not embarrassing on promos (give or take a sufferin' succotash son or two). Roman does have something about him that draws people to him, and he could still be a star. But there’s still a lot of work left to do.
In this list, I'll try and lay out some thoughtful suggestions for our good friend, as well as WWE creative, on how they can work together to figure out this Roman puzzle, and not go about it in simple, unrealistic ways (Become a better wrestler! Become better on the mic!).
Here are seven ways that Roman could still win us over.
