7 Things That Must Happen At WWE Night Of Champions
1. Seth Rollins Must Defeat Sting
When Sting finally appeared on WWE TV at Survivor Series last year, it was conceivable that an eventual match up with Seth Rollins could happen. It was Rollins after all that bore the brunt of Sting's attack that night. Sting would go up against Triple H at WrestleMania, and if common sense had prevailed this would be a much easier decision to make.
Common sense went out of the window in favour of nostalgia however, and Sting lost his first match in WWE. Everything wasn't lost however, and there was still room for Sting to compete and retain his value and aura. In fact, there is a match at this event that would have been perfect for him (that being the six-man tag between the Wyatts and Shield 2.0).
Instead, we get Seth Rollins defending his title against Sting. Rollins has been made to look like a joke ever since winning the title at WrestleMania XXXI, and is in dire need of a strong win. Beating Sting would do wonders for him and his title run, and increase the credibility of his future defences. Rollins simply has to win.
But on the other hand, Sting can't really afford another loss. So what do you do? You have to sacrifice someone, so who is it? Do you sacrifice the one true special act that hasn't been run into the ground, or the legitimate future of the company? Unfortunately for The Vigilante, the answer is clear.
Seth Rollins has to come out of Sunday on top, and cleanly at that.
