7 Things WWE Fans Need To Know About Sting

7. He Has Wrestled In TNA Wrestling Since His WCW Contract Expired

Sting Tna Lockdown You never hear WWE mention TNA Wrestling simply because they don't have to. WWE is much bigger company than TNA and they are not competition in any way. All they have in common is that they're pro wrestling companies. The TNA roster features a lot of people that used to work in WWE while WWE rarely gets their talent because most TNA people are performers that WWE passed over. Sting started in TNA in 2003, but his appearances were sporadic for those first few years. Starting in 2006, Sting became a TNA regular. He didn't work a full time schedule while he was there although he was featured in a lot of major storylines and headlined their signature Bound for Glory event several time. He had memorable feuds with the likes of Jeff Jarrett, AJ Styles and Kurt Angle while capturing 6 World Titles along the way. There's a chance that Sting could go back to TNA if he doesn't sign with WWE, but at this point that seems unlikely. Since TNA is hurting for money they likely wouldn't be able to pay him what they did before and there's really nothing new for him to do over there. Even though WWE will never mention his TNA run, it was pretty lengthy and significant when telling the story of his career.
