7 Things WWE Fans Need To Know About Sting

5. His Allies Turned On Him A Lot

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSpesWYBd6k When you're one of the most durable babyfaces ever it also means you're the guy that has a lot of friends turn on you over the years. It seemed like every time Sting would trust somebody, that person would turn on him. It's hard to remember all the times that Lex Luger did it. If you don't know much about Luger, he was in WCW a lot of the time that Sting and Flair were. Sometimes Luger was in the major feuds too. A lot of the times he was a buddy of Sting that ended up turning on him. Sting had a reputation as one of the nicest guys in wrestling, so that meant he had a lot of allies too. It also meant that he was gullible when those guys were on his side and they wanted to team with him. Even Ric Flair, his greatest rival, was able to fool him into trusting him and Flair turned on him too. Poor Sting never saw it coming. That's pro wrestling. Heels are smart. Babyfaces are dumb. It's just how it is.
