7 Things WWE Must Do With NXT On USA Network

5. Resist The Urge To Add Peripheral Championships

It's the same deal with the brand's championships.

The NXT Championship, North American Title, Women's Title and Tag-Team Titles are enough to squeeze endless storylines out of. Adding more belts would be an example of creative laziness from WWE. Instead of coming up with interesting scenarios and stories for their raft of NXT stars, they'd be throwing in the towel and expecting secondary titles to do the work.

As much as a peculiar addition like the 24/7 Title has undoubtedly been entertaining on Raw and SmackDown, it must be considered an anomaly. Introducing a watered-down version on NXT, for example, could come pre-packed with disastrous results. Not only would it fail to register with a much-more serious audience, it'd just feel pointless.

One worry is that the increase from one to two hours weekly could cause WWE to revert to type and throw peripheral titles out there to gobble up air time. This is something they should avoid at all costs. It'd dilute the importance of those that already exist.
