7 Things WWE Must Do To Improve Network Subscription Numbers

4. Not Slacking On Pay-Per-Views After Summerslam

WWE must treat the events after Summerslam with more importance than they have lately. Just last year, everything after SummerSlam was poorly received. Main event matches were ended with double knockouts, screw jobs, and bait & switches that ultimately resulted in fans being refunded. It€™s almost as if WWE sensed football season was coming, and mailed it in from September until the end of 2013. With the WWE Network, things can be less formulaic and more risks can be taken. Nothing in WWE has ever been achieved without risk. Numerous stories about the first Wrestlemania suggest, the company itself was put on the line to secure the events success. Let NXT stars have big spots on one of the Pay-Per-Views to take pressure off the writing team. They must treat Survivor Series with the prestige it deserves. Older fans could be drawn back in just off the name alone. WWE plays up its history as well as anyone. Hooking those that €œloved wrestling as a kid€ has to be a priority in order for WWE to reach its subscriber goal. The advent of the Network should, in theory, kill the €œdown time€ between SummerSlam, and the Royal Rumble. Creating a sturdier bridge between these two events must be a priority for WWE.
