7. He Was Given World Title Match After Returning From Injury - October 2013
Cena was the WWE Champion going into SummerSlam 2013. He lost that match and the title clean to Daniel Bryan. Cena missed two months of action with an arm injury that required surgery. Originally he was supposed to miss at least four months, but in typical Cena fashion he got back earlier than expected. If The Authority were really mean, they would have made him earn a title match. Instead, he was given a World Title shot against Alberto Del Rio even though he was holding the World Title as opposed to the WWE Title. The WWE Title was vacant at the time due to the terrible booking that was going on. Cena beat Del Rio rather easily to become World Champion. There wasn't much doubt about it. When they did the rematch the next month, Cena beat him again.
