7 Times Triple H Buried WWE's Tag Team Division

5. The Hurricane & Rosey - 2005

It was the night after WrestleMania 21, and Triple H was in a foul mood. Batista had defeated him for the World Heavyweight Championship, and Hunter was out to tell The Animal that he was on borrowed time. The promo made a point, but took what felt like forever to be made - a point that induced audible groans from the crowd when Triple H finally revealed that the thing Batista was scared of was the Pedigree.

The Hurricane interrupted and, moments later, Helms and his Superhero In Training (chortle chortle) partner Rosey were clearing Hunter from the ring. Incensed, The Game ordered a referee out to the ring to call the inevitable handicap match. Earl Hebner was the referee - and god damn was Earl Hebner horrible in this match.

Hebner almost gets taken out by a Hurricane flying leg drop, but Triple H is able to outsmart the superheroes for the win after tying Rosey in the ropes and hitting Hurricane with the Pedigree. Let that sink in somewhat; Triple H was able to beat two superheroes (well, one and a trainee) all on his lonesome.

Just a couple of weeks later, The Hurricane and Rosey became World Tag Team Champions.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
