7 Times Triple H Buried WWE's Tag Team Division

On the same night Vince McMahon made the heartbreaking decision to give up Hornswoggle, Triple H felt the time was right to come out to the ring and make a whole load of leprechaun and midget sex jokes. While Hunter's position as son-in-law and heir to the throne may have led him to believe he was immune to punishment, he was soon proved wrong. Vince told The Game that he was to take on the Tag champions in a match right away.

This didn't faze Hunter Hearst Helmsley, and why would it have? The Game had a proud history of defeating tag champions all on his own, after all. The Redneck Wrecking Crew came down to the ring and got the upper hand - but the inevitability of Triple H coming out on top was crushing.

Carlito came out to watch, but even the possibility of three-on-one odds didn't hurt Trips. Somehow, the well-oiled Tag Team champions suffered a communication problem and Cade accidentally blasted Murdoch, allowing Triple H to hit Big Lance with a spinebuster for the victory.

Yes, you read that right. Not only did Triple H single-handedly defeat the tag team champions, he managed to do using just his spinebuster. No Pedigree, nothing. Amazingly, things were about to get even worse for the doubles division.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
