7 Ups & 1 Down From NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver Night 2

1. Kyle O’Reilly Wins

There's a sense that Cole has achieved everything on NXT. In truth, that has been the case for a while, which is why it was so important that WWE didn't waste the potential of Kyle O'Reilly on Thursday night. His win was never a given, so it's cool that the company came through for him and showed some faith in his abilities.

Now, Adam can either take a few months off before returning with vigour, or he can jump brands. There's always a worry with that when one looks at how this promotion has treated the likes of Aleister Black, Keith Lee and Ricochet, but it's hard to see where he fits into NXT's future.

O'Reilly, meanwhile, is NXT's future.

This was a career-best performance from somebody who could've easily become a tag wrestler for life. Kyle would be forgiven for having quite the ego after working that damn hard and absolutely smashing it when the pressure was on.

Telling a decade-long tale of broken friendship in 40 minutes cannot have been easy.
