7 Ups & 2 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Oct 20)

1. It's The Little Things

No matter how many times we see it, Sami Callihan vs. Eddie Edwards will always deliver. It could be the worst show of all time, and the two will still pull out a banger like it's nothing. That's just how great the chemistry is between the duo.

It was the case here, too, as the bitter rivals reignited their heated feud ahead of Eddie's Bound For Glory bout with Ken Shamrock. The two biggest takeaways here was the attention to detail. Not only did Eddie's knee buckle ever so slightly (meaning the damage to it in recent weeks by both Shamrock and Eric Young hasn't been entirely forgotten), but 'The Draw' also went straight for Eddie's eyes, the same body part that started this whole rivalry a few years ago. It wasn't a major attack here, however, these little moments have the potential to make or break a match.

Aside from that, it was a fairly standard match, with most of the manoeuvres we're used to seeing from the pair. That was until Sami turned the lights off, allowing Ken Shamrock to appear on the ring apron, distracting Eddie long enough for him to be rolled up with a yank of the tights. A post-match beatdown on the former two-time World Champion came complete with his ankle being twisted at the hands of 'The World's Most Dangerous Man'.

Yes, it was another beatdown of Eddie Edwards, which is what this whole rivalry has consisted of, but we got a fantastic match out of it. You can't complain in that respect.
