7 Ups & 3 Downs For AEW Collision (16 September)

5. Progression For The Dark Order

AEW Collision Anthony Bowens John Silver

The online world is always a fun one when it comes to professional wrestling. Case in point, many flocked to social media to lambast AEW for pulling Evil Uno from his advertised Collision match against Anthony Bowens; Uno being replaced by his Dark Order cohort John Silver.

How dare AEW cancel Uno's appearance! Why pull him from the show! The treatment of Uno is a disgrace! Why leave the masked man at home!

Such sentiments were (obviously) loud on X, but in reality, Evil Uno was 'pulled' from Collision so that he could make a surprise appearance to help Silver score an underhand victory over Bowens and set up a shot at the AEW Trios Tag Titles for the Dark Order.

The Dark Order has long, long been stale, with recent weeks suggesting a possible change for the group. With this week's Collision, a more villainous side has again been teased for the faction - and a more serious, heel Dark Order would be a massive upgrade on what we've seen from the stable across the past year or more.

In terms of Silver vs. Bowens, the match itself was solid if not spectacular, but the bigger picture here was about the Dark Order cheating to steal a win and a title shot.
