7 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dark (Jan 5)

4. Alan Angels & Serpentico Pick Up The Pace

Alan '5' Angels scored himself a nice victory over Serpentico in Dark's main event, with the duo working a nice, even, fast-paced bout contested inside the ring and out, as they threatened to dishevel Peter Avalon's bedsheets.

'Snakeman' looked good here, particularly towards the end, when an offensive flurry threatened to put Angels away. '5' recovered and took the win via Wing Clipper after flipping out of a Poison 'Rana attempt. He was the only Dark Order member to not compete on Dynamite's Celebration of Life, assigned instead to look after Brodie Lee Jr., which was perhaps an even more important role. Still, it was good to see him back in action here.
