7 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (May 19)

F*cking hell.

This is a literal downer, people. WWE's handling of the Women's Tag-Team Title scene has been dire for a long time, but Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez started to show signs of life on last week's show with a fine win over Bayley and Dakota Kai. Now, sadly, Liv's injury has set things back.

WWE's contingency plan sounds crap too. They're sticking Shotzi back beside Raquel, and proceeding with this Damage CTRL feud (whilst also teasing an implosion with IYO SKY there). Everything feels messy right now, so hopefully things pick up soon.

Just stick the belts on Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn, and have them crow about being both NXT and main roster Women's Tag Champs. At least they've been presented as a proper team for a while, and they looked great in their debut squash.

What a bummer Liv's injury is.
