7 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dark (Oct 22)

3. Jurassic Joey

Joey Janela
Lee South/AEW

Joey Janela's ring entrance wasn't soundtracked by his delicious AJPW-esque banger of a theme, but the Jurassic Express track. AEW got his video and everything else right, just not the song, which was weird to say the least. One might have expected Marko Stunt to slide between his legs as he emerged from the tunnel.

Stunt was actually the reason for this flub. Luchasaurus' injury meant Marko had to be subbed into Jurassic Express' bout with the Lucha Brothers. The wee man was originally set to face Brandon Cutler and, per Janela himself, the producers forgot to change the theme.

A minor mistake but a mistake nonetheless, things like this come off amateurish. This can't be happening in a major American wrestling promotion with billionaire backing.
