7 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite (9 Mar)

3. Elitism

The Elite's melodrama was already growing long in the tooth prior to Revolution, though the quality of the Tag Team Title three-way made it easy to shelve those concerns for the night. The Young Bucks and reDRagon were outstanding in a bout calibrated to make Jungle Boy look like the most exciting wrestler in the world, with their squabbles ultimately getting the better of them, allowing Jurassic Express to retain.

On Dynamite, the Adam Cole tug of war continued. Another WWE-style segment played out with tension hanging between Cole's two tag teams, as he teased picking the Bucks to face Hangman Page and Jurassic Express, then reverted to reDRagon when the Jacksons said they wouldn't face the World Champion. Matt, Nick, Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly then squabbled, as they always do, while keeping this long-running saga going with another tiny step forward.

That Cole remains in the World Title feud's orbit is disappointing, too. Perhaps he'll move into something else once the trios match plays out, but Revolution felt like the right place to end a headlining feud that wasn't entirely well-built, despite the bout's quality. At no point did this feel like something that needed to be extended beyond the supercard.
