7 Ups & 4 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (15 July)

2. Hoss Fight Falls Flat

Oh, the excitement your writer had for this. A match as aptly named as it was hefty at times, Joe Doering vs. Doc Gallows vs. Fallah Bahh vs. Willie Mack had so much potential, and then fell off a cliff. How do you miss the mark on such a match?

Sure, there were some decent moments in here; Doering and Gallows' staredown and shoulder tackling each other, alongside Bahh catching Mack mid-flight for a Samoan drop, were both fine. That's about it, though.

That Doering entered the ring where Gallows was, walked all the way to the other side, back out, and targeted Bahh - who, as was Mack, was already on the floor - was Joe Doering in a nutshell. He does these little nuances that make little sense, as Gallows then had to wander around aimlessly. The Violent By Design then dropped Fallah with a weak Lariat that ended the match. He's not going to get a Revolution Bomb in here, but Christ, surely something better than that is possible?

The four-way between their partners from last week was miles better than this. It should have come second, particularly as this was a go-home episode.
