7 Ups & 4 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (15 July)

1. Early 2000s WWF

It's a shame, really, that Kaleb With A K's general existence completely deterred the opening intergender tag match. The former Caleb Konley, while fine in the actual wrestling he did here, was rocking a pair of leopard print boxers. It's funny because he's a man! Men aren't meant to wear animal print lol!

This would have been alright, had he not began to be a tad sexual when his tights were pulled down. Twisting his hips in Val Venis fashion is something that never had a place in wrestling, but to do so in 2021, in the knockouts division of all places? No. Simple as that.

Again, it's a massive letdown, considering how enjoyable his and Tenille Dashwood's bout vs. Jordynne Grace and Rachael Ellering was at times. The latter's stereo Spinebusters was a fun spot, as was their match-ending assisted Rock Bottom variation. One or two botches aside - Kaleb's scoop Powerslam on Grace, dropping her on her neck, was nasty - this was a decent match for what it was.

A supplemental Up for this story arc finally coming to an end, by the looks of things. Dashwood is now involved with Brian Myers and Matt Cardona.
