7 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (6 Feb - Results & Review)

3. ‘Mami!’

It’s pretty safe to say that Dominik Mysterio will not live up to the legacy that Rey Mysterio continues to build – and that’s not necessarily a knock on Dom, because Rey is truly a once-in-a-generation legend.

But Dom’s shortcomings have been on display for quite some time now. It’s only in recent months that WWE has figured out how to lean into them and turn the younger Mysterio into a bona fide head magnet. The Ex-Con Dom gimmick is pure gold, the gift that keeps on giving.

Monday night, we got a little more of that goodness when Dominik was easily dispatched during a brawl between Edge & Beth Phoenix and the Judgment Day. Dom retreated up the entry ramp, only for Montez Ford to humorously stalk him and send him back into the ring… right into everyone’s waiting grasp.

But it was Beth grabbing Dominik and hoisting him up for an impressive Glam Slam that stole the moment, with Dom adding a pathetic “Mami!” just before she dropped him face-first.

Perfect use of Dominik, right down to Phoenix beating him up so Rhea Ripley has another reason to seek revenge when she returns to Raw.
