2. Why Is Jade Running Away?

The presentation of Jade's feud with Ripley is also all over the place.

Post-win over Michin, Cargill said she wasn’t scared of Rhea before ‘Mami’ showed up unexpectedly. Yeah, really not sure Jade shying away from Ripley is the way to go here. They kinda went the ‘no sweat’ route at the same time with Cargill, which is confusing. She wasn’t frightened as much as aloof, but the loud and clear message was that she doesn't fancy mixing it with Rhea.

Nope, not having that. These alpha females need to be going at it hammer and tongs through ‘Mania. Their feud needs some heat on it in front of the cameras, not just on social media. Ultimately, fans tuning into the show next month aren't going to be talking about throwing shade on X. They'll want some proper build that makes this Women's Title match must see. Right now, it isn't.

How many matches on the slate for 'Mania could one say that about? It's wearying, and it's hardly like 'Mania 42 snuck up on WWE bosses or took them by surprise. They should've been more prepared than this. They defo shouldn't be indecisive about exactly how the likes of Jade and Ripley are acting around one another.

Here, Cargill should've planted her feet firmly in the ring and told Rhea to come get her. There's no need for the quasi-cowardice unless she lays it out in plain English by saying: 'I'm a prize fighter, and I ain't fighting you until April when my title is on the line'.
