7 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Jan 13)

2. Spinning Wheels For…Reasons

Raquel Rodriguez

Liv Morgan slapping Raquel Rodriguez backstage didn't continue Liv's descent into hardcore madness as much as come totally out of left field. Then, following that behind-the-scenes setup, WWE barely gave them enough time in-ring to properly get started before racing to the finish.

Sensing a pattern in the women's division?

Honestly, where are these ladies even going? They're just sort of hanging around without much direction, which is all rather worrying. Morgan has gone from division champ to undercard pest who makes an arse of her matches by trying to be hardcore, and Raquel is spinning wheels big time.

Maybe this win will count for something in the long-run when Rodriguez is SmackDown Women's Champion (you know that's coming in 2023), but a four-minute win over Liv does also feel forgettable. They'd get longer than this on house shows, for crying out loud.
