Randy Savage's last WrestleMania passed with little drama compared to some of the classics he'd assembled at the 'Show Of Shows', but the organisation's experimentation with the Falls Count Anywhere stipulation helped enhance the drama between the Macho Man and his former friend Crush.
More than just a fight on the floor, the stipulation here called for the wrestlers to make a return to the ring within 60 seconds of scoring the pin. Crush's first fall within seconds shocked the crowd to the core, but established the importance of keeping the man down, and thus, the struggle Savage had to go through in order to secure the win.
The conclusion was about as tight as the knot Randy tied around Crush's long legs, but the Kona native collapsing in a heap didn't undermine the ending too much. Savage delivering a comical kicking to Mr Fuji at the climax at least made good on his final Madison Square Garden moments.
