7 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Elimination Chamber 2022

1. The Length Of Those Chamber Bouts

There was a time when Chamber matches were long, arduous affairs.

Those days, apparently, are very much over. Neither cage encounter lasted longer than 15 minutes on Saturday night, and that felt just a little too short to justify the gimmick. The women's one and that main event men's version lacked any sense of gruelling epicness.

At least WWE history was made in Saudi. These were the shortest Chamber bouts in history; the only one that comes close to their brevity is the 19-minute one put on at SummerSlam 2003, and that was a Goldberg match so...yeah, it was probably expected to be on the shorter side.

Starters like Liv Morgan in the women's and Austin Theory in the men's never got to take fans on that journey of exhaustion. In fact, both had wrestled for way longer than this in their respective Rumbles this past January. WWE won't want people drawing attention to that.
