7 Ups & 6 Downs For WWE Raw (21 July - Results & Review)

5. Sell Your Kross Stock

WWE Raw Karrion Kross Sami Zayn
WWE

Sami Zayn has been easily one of the most popular wrestlers on the roster for the past few years, generating some of the biggest babyface reactions you’ll hear. And yet, his match Monday night played out largely to silence, save for a 50/50 split in fans chanting for him and his opponent Karrion Kross at a couple of points.

The match was quite the disappointment, a plodding snoozer that managed to turn a Zayn match into a mostly silent affair with fans sitting on their hands for large chunks. This is the embodiment of “and then the bell rang.”

Kross might be turning in solid work with his promos, but things eventually need to end up in the ring, and if Sami can’t get a decent match out of him, then you know there are issues.

Regardless, Karrion got his hands on his pipe (via Scarlett, who ran interference for him) and waffled Zayn as he charged for the Helluva Kick. Presumably, this will lead to Sami being on the shelf for a bit.
