2. What The Hell Was That?

Can someone please explain what in the blue hell was going on with the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match?

After Bayley had convinced Raw GM Adam Pearce to grant her and Lyra Valkyria a tag title match against the Judgment Day, Bayley had to convince Lyra to trust her as a tag partner. The match had some decent moments, but the “acting” between Bayley and Lyra was off-putting throughout.

Bayley tried to be a babyface, clapping for Valkyria and even channeling her “hugger” persona for a brief second. Lyra then weirdly fired up and accepted Bayley’s overtures as they started rapidly tagging. Then it all spiraled, with Dominik Mysterio, AJ Styles, and Becky Lynch getting involved, leading to Raquel Rodriguez drilling Bayley with a Tejana Bomb for the win.

If they were going for “Bayley the disingenuous babyface,” this still didn’t hold up. It felt like this match had the acting performance of a middle school play. Even the announcers seemed confused by everything.
