Why could we not have always had this version of Jazz in IMPACT Wrestling? It’s utterly brilliant.
The former WWE Women’s Champion completely decked Susan with a bin in the backstage interview area after Deonna Purrazzo talked about defeating her last week. Jazz then demanded a Knockouts Championship later in the show, with Tommy Dreamer – the booker for Hardcore Justice – offering her a title shot on that show, so long as she put something on the line herself. Thus, her career is also being defended.
This is just what she needed. Regular readers of these IMPACT Ups and Downs columns will know that ever since Jazz returned to wrestling as part of the Knockouts Tag Team Championships Tournament alongside Jordynne Grace, she’s not had the same in-ring acumen that she once possessed. Just by being a tad more aggressive on this episode, though, she’s unleashed the side of Jazz that we all know and love.
It’s just a shame she’s found herself again when she may be departing the company after 10 April.
