7 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE SummerSlam 2022

1. Three For One On Surprises

Perhaps the biggest shocker here is that WWE didn't book Bayley's comeback and union with Io Shirai and Dakota Kai on free TV. They could've saved it for Raw or SmackDown easily, but Triple H's writing staff wanted to make a statement at SummerSlam.

That's not a complaint. It's nice to see something that totally deviates from the sort of booking fans expect from the company, because things have defo become way too formulaic over the years. Also, Bianca Belair suddenly has three top challengers waiting in the wings for title shots.

That's another huge plus.

Everything here worked. The match between Bianca and Becky was great, Lynch's show of respect was unexpected, Bayley's comeback popped the crowd, Io and Dakota joining her was a surprise - yeah, this was good sh*t.

More, please.
