7 Ups & 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (10 Jan)

6. We Understand Why, But Don’t Have To Like It

Watching Big E lose two straight matches after losing the WWE Championship is really tough, but at least it was so Seth Rollins heads into his title shot against Roman Reigns with a big win under his belt.

Rollins is easily the underdog against Reigns, and he hasn’t been winning a lot lately – he’s just been booked to talk a lot and sound like a top guy. So defeating the former WWE Champion in a one-on-one match Monday night was important for him.

However, we have to deduct a lot of points for making E take another L. The only way this works is if they’re not done with Big E yet. If they’re actually ratcheting him down the card after losing the title, then this is just tossing him aside and a total waste.

It was a pretty good little match from Rollins and E, so we can’t crap on the bout itself. But booking your previous champ to lose two straight after losing his title is bad unless there’s a plan. And with WWE, it’s hard to give them the benefit of the doubt.
