7 Ups & 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Nov 20)

2. An IIconic Burial

Charlotte Flair The IIconics

The IIconics are here to lose. We get that. Their personas are intended to rile the audience up to the point that they want to see Billie Kay and Peyton Royce get their arses kicked, and it usually works. They're not supposed to be contenders, but effective heel enhancement talents, and they're usually pretty good at their job.

... but did they really need to be straight-up buried by Charlotte Flair last night?

'The Queen' overcame Billie with ease, despite Royce's ringside assistance. She was then well on her way to trumping Peyton before the disqualification, then beat the tar out of both IIconics afterwards, standing tall as SmackDown's opening run came to a close. Complete, lopsided dominance.

One match would've been fine; two matches and a beatdown was overkill. Yes, Billie and Peyton are enhancers, and they should be portrayed on a lower level than someone like Charlotte, but not this low.
