7 Ups & 8 Downs From One Year Of Bray Wyatt’s Fiend In WWE
7. Missed Opportunity
This, despite falling so early in the 'Downs', was a massive missed opportunity for WWE and one they might just come to regret. On the 7 August SmackDown, they booked Alexa Bliss to feign terror at the mere sight of the 'Fiend' then...push his hand away like he was some annoying berk handing her a leaflet.
Scary monster? Not so much.
Things got even worse when Braun Strowman appeared to admit he didn't give a rat's ass about Alexa or care if Wyatt was targeting her. In typical own goal fashion, WWE ruined what had been a hot story just seven nights before. That's some turnaround, even for a company that's well-versed in crapping on Wyatt's momentum.
Attacking Bliss had given Bray back some of the edge he'd lost, but any hopes he'd turned a corner were dashed when Alexa treated him like a nuisance and Braun dismissed her importance anyway. What was the bloody point then?
