7 Ups & 8 Downs From WWE's Road To WrestleMania 38

2. WWE’s “Go Home”

SmackDown hasn't happened at time of writing, so it wouldn't be fair to say that WWE totally dropped the ball on WrestleMania 38's "go home". Though reserving judgement is important, so is being honest. This past Monday's edition of Raw was as meh as you're gonna get from the final flagship before 'Mania.

That "WrestleMania Raw" branding was lazy.

The company has done a poor job of giving matches beyond Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns much buzz. There are a ton of scraps across both nights this weekend that don't come close to being WrestleMania-worthy. They either stuck a celeb in there for the sake of it (Logan Paul teaming with The Miz), or just look last-minute (Lashley vs. Omos).

WWE's "go home" episode of Raw played out like any other three-hour example. It was a regular Monday night when it shouldn't have been. Fingers crossed Vince McMahon and cohorts don't make the same mistake on the traditionally-hot "night after" show 24 hours after 'Mania.
