A note to WWE and its talent: If you cant make a movie, television or cultural reference correctly, its best not to make it at all.

Case in point from Monday Night Raw: As Dolph Ziggler put on his amateur wrestling headgear and mouthguard, it inspired JBL to channel that recent hit movie Old School (if by recent you mean 13 years ago) and reference the character Blue, a 90-plus year-old man who at one point was celebrating his birthday and donned similar headgear to Jell-O wrestle two girls.

Unfortunately (but not surprisingly) for JBL, he yelled, My man Blue! at Ziggler, when the line from the movie (uttered multiple times by Will Ferrell) was, Youre my boy, Blue! And thus, JBL rendered the entire joke moot and became the joke to anyone who knew the line by heart.
