7 Ups And 0 Downs From WWE NXT Great American Bash (Jul 6)
Who walked out of WWE NXT Great American Bash with tag team gold?

For those who simply cannot wait for another TakeOver event to be hooked into their veins, NXT had a welcome solution this week; throw together a couple of TakeOver-worthy clashes on a mid-week special decked in red, white, and blue.
Sure, The Great American Bash may have been lacking an NXT, NXT Women's or North American Championship showdown, Samoa Joe was still strutting around in a suit rather than his wrestling gear, and it might have been housed inside of a CWC that feels less and less captivating by the week. But that didn't stop the guys and gals on show from pulling out the big guns for a, let's say, unpredictable crowd.
As Lady Liberty, or more specifically her head, watched on from the entrance ramp, the NXT tag team divisions took centre stage, putting on two deeply enjoyable spectacles as four teams fought to walk out of the night as champs. A feud which feels like it has been going on since the dark ages also reached its climax (sort of) as two one-time teammates went to war once more in the main event.
But it wasn't all about the here and now last night. Breakout introductions and a mouth-watering NXT Championship announcement also occupied a jam-packed 2 hour ride. Not to mention the sight of NXT's hottest faction throwing down rhymes by the second in a Cypher Celebration. Oh, and we can confirm that Cameron Grimes is still indeed the hottest act in the company. Acknowledge that, Roman Reigns.
