7 Ups And 10 Downs From WWE Fastlane 2019

Ups...

7. Usos Retain

There really was only one acceptable outcome to the SmackDown Tag Team Championship match at Fastlane.

While Miz winning the tag titles in his hometown would have been a storybook ending, having he and his 49-year-old executive-turned-part-time-wrestler partner win the titles back over the Usos would have been just ridiculous. The match itself, while pretty decent, was more competitive than it should have been, but that’s a minor trifle.

The Usos probably aren’t the tag team to carry the titles long-term – if anything, they could use a change of scenery – but at least they’re in a position to hopefully put over the next big team on SmackDown, while the next chapter of Miz & Shane McMahon doesn’t need tag titles to progress.
