7 Ups And 10 Downs From WWE Fastlane 2019

6. NXT Stars Shine In Loss

Sometimes, new blood can help infuse a wrestling product with new energy.

While that hasn’t been the case overall, we did see a glimpse of that in the Raw Tag Team Championship triple threat match at Fastlane. The Revival and Chad Gable & Bobby Roode could have had a perfectly serviceable tag title bout, but the addition of Ricochet & Aleister Black definitely infused it with some octane.

One sequence toward the latter half of the match was too fast to call, but it ended with a Dash Wilder splash breaking up a German suplex pin, only to fall victim to a Shooting Star Press from Ricochet.

In the end, Dash and Scott Dawson left with their titles, but Ricochet and Black served notice afterward that they are serious and not to be treated lightly. Kudos for WWE continuing to let those two shine in their embryonic main roster moments.
