7 Ups And 3 Downs From WWE NXT 2.0 (Oct 12)

2. Hudson And Waller Duke It Out

It was a battle of the up-and-coming Aussies on last night's multi-coloured slice of mayhem, with a now-poker-obsessed Duke Hudson throwing down with self-professed adrenaline junkie and golden gloves boxing champ Grayson Waller.

The clash of styles, that of a fast-paced striker and a corner-cutting giant of a man, made for a short-but-sweet affair. Waller again proved he has it in him to fire up a crowd and hit Hudson with one of the smoothest rolling stunners you'll see this year. But that near-fall was to be outdone by the oldest trick in the book as big Duke grabbed hold of the tights to squeeze a victory out of the plucky loser from Oz.

Both of these guys have massive potential, bucket loads of charisma, and can hold their own in the ring. As always, it would've been nice to see them go a little longer and further play the crowd with impressive ease, but as another bite-sized chunk of what is set to come, this match achieved all it needed to.

It is probably worth noting that all of the cheeky post-match poker chip offerings in the world won't mask over NXT's reluctance to give these newbies significant ring time to sharpen their skills. But more serious reps hopefully won't be too far away for the likes of Waller and Hudson.
