Goodness, gracious! This might actually be a good PPV!

As WWE heads into its inaugural (and probably last) Great Balls of Fire PPV, Raw delivered a go-home show that brought a lot of its rivalries to a head and set the stage for what could either be a lame placeholder of a PPV or a surprisingly good show.

Raw gave us more of the feuds between Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman, Samoa Joe and Brock Lesnar, Alexa Bliss and Sasha Banks, and the Miz and Dean Ambrose. We saw Joe hunt the Beast. We saw Strowman dispatch with Titus Worldwide and survive the Big Dog. We saw Sasha overcome the odds and Bliss make excuses. And we saw the Miz defend his IC title, earning another title match against Ambrose on Sunday.

Beyond that, we saw more of Cedric Alexander and (*groan*) Noam Dar & Alicia Fox and the Golden Truth imploding. And we saw Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt continue their placeholder feud.

WWE is in a weird spot where they aren’t putting out patently bad stuff, but Raw certainly isn’t must-see television right now either. But with SummerSlam coming up soon, perhaps things will pick up. The talent certainly is there.

With that said, let’s find out what worked and what flopped. Let’s get to it…
