7 Ups And 5 Downs From WWE Raw (30 Oct - Review & Results)
5. #DIY Gets Off On Right Foot… And Knee
After seeing the red-hot Creed Brothers’ debut earlier Monday night, there was a palpable concern that Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano’s reunion as #DIY would get short-changed or short-circuited.
Thankfully, neither happened and the duo had a perfectly solid tag team victory over Imperium on Raw. #DIY flashed some of their trademark double-teams and pulled off some of the signature strikes that made them fan favorites in NXT. Ciampa looked like a man possessed (when doesn’t he?) running wild on Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci as things broke down, ultimately leading to Meet in the Middle to put Vinci down.
The win was a good sign for the duo, and the match was perfectly fine. However, it wasn’t (as Michael Cole said) their Raw debut, as they appeared in one Raw match in 2019, defeating the Revival (whatever happened to them). And even if it was, it would have been only the second-best Raw debut for an NXT tag team on Monday’s show.
