Hats off to the people booking Aleister Black’s matches of late. They’ve figured out that repetitiveness isn’t always the best.

Sure, Black has been winning match after match after match, but his wins have varied in the past month. In the weeks leading up to WrestleMania 36, Aleister mainly won squashes against enhancement talent, taking his opponents out in a matter of seconds. But at Mania and since then, his wins have come in more competitive bouts, including Monday’s win over Oney Lorcan.

The match was a decent little affair, with Lorcan trading holds and strikes with the Dutch Destroyer before a Black Mass turned out his lights.

And we already know that Black will compete against Austin Theory for a spot in the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match, which sets things up nicely for another good matchup.
